Location
Dawlish is a seaside resort town on the south Devon coast. It is 12 miles South West of Exeter. In terms of rail communications Dawlish railway station is on the Exeter to Plymouth line which also serves the mainline into the South West peninsula. Dawlish has a population of circa 12,000 per the 2011 census and this is bolstered considerably during the Summer months with holiday makers to the holiday parks which surround the town.

The Railway Inn is an attached, two storey public house which is believed to date from the 1840's. It is a traditional Inn with single bar operation at ground floor and living accommodation above.

The ground floor is accessed from two entrance lobbies at the front of the building and leading to the 'L' shaped open plan trade area.
