Buistonend Farm is an attractive stock farm situated in an accessible location just to the north of Kilmaurs within rural Ayrshire. The farm is in a ring fenced block traversed by Buiston Road and the A735 whilst it is in close proximity to the A77 and M77.

Kilmaurs has local shops, including a butchers, chemist, hairdressers, coffee shop, country pub and restaurant and a primary school. The nearby town of Stewarton (1.8 miles) offers a good range of shops, primary and secondary schooling, local services, sports centre, cafes and restaurants. There are frequent train services to Glasgow and beyond from Kilmaurs, Stewarton and Kilmarnock.

Private schooling and Silverburn Shopping Centre is available on the south side of Glasgow about a 45 minute drive. Prestwick Airport is about 15 miles and Glasgow Airport about 20 miles.

Ayrshire is renowned for its many outdoor pursuits and golf courses, including the world famous Royal Troon and Turnberry whilst the world class, 19 hole golf course designed by Colin Montgomerie at Rowallan Castle is about 3.5 miles away. There is a popular Racecourse in Ayr and excellent yachting facilities at the Marina in Troon.

Buistonend Farm has been farmed by the current owners since 1909 and was historically ran as a dairy unit. Today, the farm is utilised for rearing young stock with housing for 170 + head. The land is all down to grass for silage and grazing purposes.

Buistonend is a compact productive stock farming unit extending to about 59.29 Ha (146.51 Ac) with a traditional farmhouse and a good range of modern and traditional farm buildings. The holding lies over two blocks situated immediately north and south of the steading, traversed by Buiston Road and the A735. The farmhouse and buildings lie at the centre with a good sized yard and excellent access off the public road.

The farmland extends to 58.40 Ha (144.31 Ac) and is a mixture of grazing and productive silage ground whilst there is an area of localised rough grazing to the north of the holding. The land is graded as a mixture of Grades 3(2), 4(1), 4(2) with a small area of 5(3) by the James Hutton Institute. The land ranges from 78m to 105m above sea level and is gently undulating with a southerly aspect. The land all appears to be good heart and made up of good sized easily worked fields. First cut silage was taken mid May with two cuts taken annually. Some of the fields benefit from water troughs whilst fencing is in good stock proof order.
