Description

Description
Caeau Ty Mawr comprises of around 22.398 hectares (55.346 acres) of conservation grazing land forming Caeau Ty Mawr Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), with a further contiguous area forming part of the Llangorse Lake SSSI and Llangorse Lake Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Caeau Ty Mawr is one of the richest sites for wild plants in the National Park.

The land will be subject to a management plan to regulate stocking density and grazing times during the year. The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority (BBNPA) will work with the successful applicant to ensure they are able to comply with the controls throughout the term.

Grazing will be limited to 12 livestock units, preferably native breed beef cattle, with grazing permitted between 1st April - 30th September only. Interested parties should be aware that rent is not the primary influence in determining the appropriate tenant for the land.

Please note, preference will be given to interested parties who will guarantee to only graze cattle. Sheep grazing will not be permitted.
