Delivering Extraordinary Homes
At Martin Grant Homes we don't build houses; we build homes.
The Martin Grant Homes portfolio reflects the needs and demands of our clients' lifestyles, providing modern yet functional housing solutions which combine thoughtful design with classic touches. So, whether you are looking for your first apartment or a family home, each property is meticulously planned and built to exacting standards, meeting our commitment to creating your perfect home.
As a family owned company, we place family values at the heart of everything we do. We understand the importance of a personal touch and take the care and attention over our customers that we would wish to experience ourselves. We believe that this, combined with the professionalism and experience of our team, is what sets us apart.
We have a commitment to sustainability and a greener way of life and, in the last five years, we have planted over 15,000 trees as we work towards reducing our carbon footprint. Our homes all have water butts connected to rainwater pipes, all installed fridges and freezers have A+ ratings, WCs are fitted with dual flush cisterns to reduce water consumption, low energy lighting is installed in all of our homes and photovoltaic panels are fitted to selected properties which convert the sun's energy into electrical power.
Martin Grant Homes has been managed by members of the Grant family since it was established over 38 years ago. Having started his career as a carpenter working in the construction industry, our founder Martin Grant took the decision to become a housing developer in the late 1970s and set up his own company, Martin Grant Homes, in 1978.
The company grew quickly and, by the mid 1980s, was recognised as a significant house builder in the south east and Home Counties. Over the following decade, the company went from strength to strength with many people putting Martin’s enduring success down to his attention to detail, strong family beliefs and close involvement with all his staff.
When Martin sadly passed away in February 2000, his son, Noel Grant, took the helm of the business. Noel has worked in the building industry since he left school, having firstly trained as a carpenter like his father, so it was a natural step for him to take overall control and he remains Chairman and CEO of the company today. Noel takes pride in maintaining the high standards and family ethos established by his father and, over the last fifteen years, the company has prospered well; including through the last recession and Martin Grant Homes continues to be a strong influence in the house building sector in the south east of England.
Martin is remembered fondly, not only because he built exceptional houses, but also for the lasting connections he established with the people who built them and those who live in them.
Our striking logo has been with us since we were established in 1978 and, over the years, has become synonymous with our company name. The design interlinks a House Martin with a capital G – playing on both our founder’s name: Martin Grant and our business: building houses.
