The Avenues at Westley Green

About the Development

The Avenues is the latest phase of the highly successful Westley Green development, offering exceptional new family homes in Langdon Hills. These three, four and five bedroom homes, within commuting distance of London, are sure to prove popular, so register your interest today.

Not only will you find London within easy reach, with just a 35minute train ride, you’ll also find so much more right on your doorstep in this bustling town, with great schools, excellent shopping and a huge choice of leisure facilities, with something for all the family.

Remember, you can reserve your Heritage Collection home at The Avenues for just 5% deposit, and there’s now no Stamp Duty for first time buyers on the first £300,000 of your purchase price.

Amenities

There are a number of major supermarkets within a short drive for your weekly shop, including Asda in the town centre and Tesco Extra, Aldi and Lidl just along the A13.

Doctors can be found just half a mile away at The Knares Medical Practice (Sat Nav SS16 5SB, call 01268 542866), with dentists similarly close at G&S Dental (Sat navSS16 5SA, call 01268 544838).

Dining

For family dining with all your favourites, head for Festival Leisure Park, where you’ll find the likes of Pizza Hut, Nandos, TGI Fridays, and Frankie and Benny’s, as well as Harvester and Toby Carvery pubs.

The town centre is also home to a wide range of restaurants, with the Greedy Chef, Coriander Asian restaurant and the Roadhouse American diner all scoring highly with the review websites.

Education

At Redrow, we understand how important good quality education is to growing families. That’s why we choose our locations carefully, to give you the best possible choice of schools. Westley Green is well served by local primaries, with Lee Chapel Primary School, Great Berry Primary, Vange Primary, Janet Duke Primary and Kingswood Infants all within easy reach.

Senior pupils are even better served, with the brand new £25million Woodlands School close by. South Essex College has a campus in Basildon and the University of Essex can be found at nearby Southend. Students can also commute easily to the huge choice of London Universities, saving a fortune on city centre accommodation.

Leisure

Basildon has so much to offer for your leisure time, from cinema and theatre to superb sports facilities. The popular Festival Leisure Park, known locally as ‘Bas Vegas’, is home to a multi-screen cinema and a ten pin bowling alley, along with a host of well know chain restaurants, while in the town centre, you’ll find the Towngate Theatre, with its varied programme of live music, comedy and plays.

Sports fans will love Basildon Sports Village, a newly built complex with everything from swimming pools to climbing walls, plus indoor and out door pitches and even an athletics stadium. Basildon Golf Course is just up the road from the development, while South Sussex Golf and Country Club, Willow Park and Langdon Hills courses are each just a short drive away.

Shopping

There has been considerable investment in Basildon town centre in recent years, creating a bright, modern shopping experience. This is centred on the Eastgate Shopping Centre, which has over 100 stores, along with the East Walk and Town Square areas. For out of town shopping, head for Westgate Shopping Park, Pipps Hill Retail Park or Mayflower Retail Park.

If you really want to shop ‘til you drop, you can’t ask for more than the legendary Lakeside Shopping Centre, with hundreds of different shops and stores in one mega complex that draws shopaholics from miles around. Plus, of course, the flagship stores of London’s Oxford Street are also just a short train ride away.

Transport

Nearby Laindon Station is your best bet for trains to London, as it has parking for over 240 cars and at least six trains to London per hour in rush hour, with a journey time of just 35 minutes. There is also a station in the centre of the town, but this has no parking facilities. Trains to Southend Central take under twenty minutes.

Basildon sits between the A13 and A127, giving easy access to the capital. The M25 London Orbital is just 11 miles away along the A13, which is just a couple of minutes away from Westley Green. London Stanstead and London Southend airports are both within easy reach.
