    Who are Equity Living?

    Equity Living is a new type of Estate Agency offering landlords the opportunity to tailor a lettings package to suit their needs.

    We have a prominent high street location with innovative touch screens inside and outside the branch. Our aim to offer landlords and tenants a first class and professional service as a high street agent but offer the competitive prices of an online agent, meaning our customers get the best of both worlds.

    At Equity Living, we understand that some landlords may require different levels of service. We give landlords the opportunity to enhance the basic letting only service and add other services as they require.

    Our standard letting only service includes advising you of the rent to set, marketing and promotion of your property on "Rightmove", "On The Market" and also on our own web site. We will carry out the viewings and carry out an initial assessment of any potential tenant, before putting them through our rigorous referencing system which includes credit check, right to rent check and previous landlord and employer's checks. Once the tenant is approved we will prepare the Tenancy Agreement and move the tenant into the property. We will take the first month's rent and a deposit from the tenant.

    For additional fees we can prepare a photographic inventory, which provides a high level of detail and helps in the event of any disputes at the end of the tenancy.

    In the event that you wish to renew the lease to your tenant, we can also arrange this as an extra service.

    All tenancy deposits are required to be protected in a deposit protection scheme. Our deposits are protected in the DPS scheme. We can lodge the deposit in this scheme for you for a small additional charge.

    We believe that our clients should be fully aware of our charges from the beginning and we have clearly set out our charges for lettings and sales fees. We have also included VAT in the fees quoted so there are no surprises, the fee you see is the fee you will pay and of course it is a no let no pay policy.

    Equity Living has clear, ethical values and believes in supporting the local community in which it works. As part of this it gives a part of its profit to Equity Enterprises which helps to fund local community projects in Stockport. Our view is to give back something to our communities.
