    The Boss! Mark is a serial hoarder, we have fun in the office trying to decide what will arrive at our door next, only to be stored upstairs, 'it will definitely come in handy that', he says! In all seriousness though, Mark has a wealth of Estate Agency experience, having managed very successful Estate Agencies for over 30 years and most of this success and extensive experience has been gained from within the local area. Mark makes it his priority to view every single valuation that we are asked to attend, he likes the personal touch, and after all, he is the one who will put your property on the market with its very own individual write up. You must take a look at some of these write ups, they do set your property apart from the rest of the 'we are delighted to bring to the market'! It must be said that Mark loves the great outdoors; he has a passion for sailing, gardening and dog walking. His other passion is music; he currently plays the Saxophone in a couple of bands which stems from his time as a musician in the Royal Marines back in the day!

    Alison Hegarty - Sales Negotiator
    Well, what can we say about our Alison, other than she is our very own Goth. Anything black and cat like, Alison loves. Come and see us at Halloween if you don't believe us, the office will be adorned with everything bat like and Alison's costume will be up there with the best! Alison joined us a few years ago and is now a well-established member of the team. She gained a BA in Digital Graphic Design at Huddersfield University before she joined our team. She, like Mark gained experience in one of the top local Estate Agents during her Uni days so she definitely knows how to smooth clients through the sometimes tricky sales negotiation process. She will offer you the best advice, whether that be response to customer feedback or a proposed offer, Ali will certainly help you through the sometimes hair raising sales negotiation process! As we have already mentioned, Ali loves to dress up and when we say dress up we mean dress up. She is a super fan of the Comic Con phenomena, take a look at her profile picture, this was taken with Sarah at the very latest Comin Con in Manchester. I think they would definitely take the prize for best dressed. Ali's other interests include gaming and her looking after her beloved cat Pip.

    Sarah Wilson - Sales Negotiator
    We call Sarah our 'My Little Pony' with her most beautiful rainbow coloured hair. We have had most colours of the rainbow up to now, hmmmm......what colour next, we shall wait and see! Sarah is our newbie; to us anyway, she must have been with us for almost four years though now! Sarah had no back ground in Estate Agency when she joined us but throughout her time with us has built up a sound level of experience, qualifying as an Associate Member of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents, which is proudly displayed on our wall. Like Alison, Sarah is here to offer support to our clients, whether that be matching our database of prospective purchasers to your home, setting up viewings, delivering constructive feedback right through to agreeing a sale. Sarah is what can affectionately be described as our gaming geek, so much so that she saves her holidays and works them around release dates of the most popular games! That is gaming loyalty for you! She also loves anything Comic book so the Marvel characters are high on her favourites list. Just take a look at her mug and coaster, the Joker if you please!

    Melanie Duncan - Accountant / Lettings Manager
    Mel is our very own Weightwatcher Guru. She is either on it like a car bonnet or definitely not! Put it this way, we know when the biscuit barrel is empty who to point the finger at! Mel is a qualified accountant having previously worked in practice in a top ten firm of Chartered Accountants. She started at Mark Gilbertson's just a couple of months after its opening in 2009, initially a few hours a month doing the vat return, now it's a full time role looking after the accounts, lettings, staff, marketing, PA to the boss ..... Jack of all trades! Mel loves shopping; we are always tripping over her bags after a lunchtime spending spree! She has a black Labrador called Belle, who takes up a lot of her spare time, the Hunter wellies are most definitely warn in! She loves going to Zumba and Fitsteps, so we have our very own Darcey Bussell on our books!

    Penny Gilbertson - The Sales Progressor!
    Penny is our star baker, all we can say is yum yum, whether its chocolate brownies, cheesecake, or delightful fairy cakes! Even Bertie our office dog gets a doggie cake cooked for him for his birthday, liver cake anyone?!?! So Penny will look after your sale/ purchase from accepted offer to final completion. She will be with you every step of the way, making your home moving adventure just that! She does not take no for an answer, so solicitors beware, she will be on your back! She also has the unenviable role of office cleaner. We know when Penny has done the cleaning, we can never find anything the day after! Although we cannot fault her mop and bucket skills! Penny is mummy to our office dog Bertie, so you may have guessed that walking is one of her most favourable pastimes. She is also a member of a book club, having a keen passion for reading and also... well we have mentioned it before but she is our very own Mary Berry!

    Roy is just our Roy, what you see is what you get, a very kind and considerate gentleman only too happy to give advice on anything plumbing! A retired heating engineer, Roy is the perfect candidate for accompanied viewings. Effective customer service was something that he delivered on a daily basis throughout his career, so he is naturally at ease showing viewers around your home. Roy is always on hand to help, offer advice and refer any feedback to the girls in the office during and following accompanied viewings. Sarah and Alison are then able to explore and act on the feedback accordingly. In his spare time Roy likes to travel, enjoys fishing and has a passion for anything motor car!

    Bertie - Office Hound
    Bertie is the best behaved member of the team by far! Our 9 year old chocolate Labrador is chief in charge of cuddles and morale, he spends most of his days snoozing on the office couch, saving his energy to kidnap discarded toilet roll tubes, which he likes to eat by the way and to steal any treat left unguarded by the other team members. He has been known to steal a chicken and mushroom pie, chocolate mini rolls and well, the office biscuit tin on a fair few occasions, much to Mel's dismay!
