    Sam Tumilty. Director
    Sam has worked in the property sector for over 10 years before establishing Liverpool City Rents. The experiences gained within the industry gave him the desire to open a friendly, inviting and professional letting agent that had an unrivalled knowledge of the marketplace. With the emphasis on customer service and dependability, Sam and his team have forged strong relationships with some of the city's best landlords and developers and now offer some of the finest accommodation on the market. Outside of the office, Sam is a keen golfer and enjoys watching most sports. He is a big Evertonian and enjoys going to Goodison Park whenever he can. Sam has recently become a father for the first time and can always be heard complaining about his lack of sleep!

    Scott is our property manager and has a very pro-active approach and ethos towards the role. Scott has a great knowledge of the industry as a whole and the ever growing legislations and regulations affecting the industry. He has gained this knowledge through both his professional qualifications with Property Mark (NFOPP) and through managing a portfolio of his own private rental properties. The latter positioning him well to take a balanced and well informed decision when balancing the wants and needs of tenants and landlords alike. Outside of work, Scott is a passionate sailor and fisherman. A Collector of quirky antiques and hopes to retire into the sun of the French Riviera.

    Lauren Taylor. Lettings Negotiator
    After graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Sociology, Lauren joined Liverpool City Rents as a Lettings Administrator. Lauren always had a great interest in the property market and is eager to learn more about estate agency and the many different opportunities that the industry has to offer. Lauren is very ambitious and enjoys working for a fast-growing independent company. In January 2018, Lauren was promoted to Lettings Negotiator and enjoys her new job role, especially showing prospective tenants around our available properties. Lauren prides herself on offering a high level of customer service and enjoys ensuring our tenants find their ideal homes. Lauren is a team player and works well with other people. In 2016 Lauren volunteered in Uganda where she visited schools and taught local children. Outside of work Lauren enjoys going to her local gym and keeping fit. Lauren enjoys reading and is a big fan of Harry Potter.

    Holly is the latest member of staff to join our team, working as a Letting Negotiator from February 2017. Holly joined the Liverpool City Rents team from a high pressured, sales background. Priding herself with a can-do attitude and a positive mentality, Holly wanted to test her sales skills in the busy lettings market. Holly believes that hard work and passion are key to success and hopes that she can develop her current skill-set within the property industry. Holly took a break from work in 2017, to solo-travel across the world, visiting South Africa, Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand, where she enjoyed surfing and kayaking.

    Sarah had worked in multiple customer facing roles before her interest in property investment and her desire for a lifestyle change led to joining Liverpool City Rents as a Lettings Administrator. After working as a hairdresser for 8 years, Sarah became a qualified assessor and won multiple hairdressing awards, underlining her forward thinking and her eagerness to challenge herself. Eventually Sarah would love to become a Lettings Negotiator or a Property Manager, where she can deploy her personable skills and express her ideas. Sarah enjoys travelling, spending time outdoors and is a self-confessed documentary nerd.

      We have no hesitation in recommending City Rents
      We have been the leaseholders of three units in The Steel since May 2016 and for the first 7 months the apartments were under their management. We received regular updates, on time payments and the upkeep of the property and its services fully maintained within the original deduction budget.With the experience we had of their management system, we had no hesitation in purchasing a lease on another apartment that was under their management in a separate block.Unfortunately, in February 2017 the new freeholder decided to appoint a new management company to administer services, Buildings insurance and ground rent on The Steel. Immediately the service costs escalated by 10%, building insurance costs increased, with an accompanying reduction in services being offered to the tenants. The new company is not resident in Liverpool and hence had no "hands on" approach to the building management to ensure the tenant's issues were listened to, actioned and resolved immediately. The new management company had no interest in the welfare of the tenants, and the upkeep of the infrastructure of the apartments was ignored. The Landlords realised, through the emails between LCR and the new management company that things were going from bad to worse and at that points tenants started leaving the apartments, leaving the developer, and the landlords with a greatly reduced income.LCR then suggested the possibility of an RTM which was immediately taken up by the majority, if not all, the landlords since we had experienced LCR's management in 2016 and we were very pleased to hear there was a system to reinstate LCR in their management role. This process is ongoing.We have no hesitation in recommending Liverpool City Rents to take on this process for others and, in due course, the management of other properties.

They are also excellent at managing the apartment buildings, rectifying any issues that arise in a building or with a tenant. They are on top of all issues and work diligently to make sure the landlord and the tenant are satisfied and they visit the buildings on a regular basis and always report back to the landlords with updates.
