    When we think of Alex, there are four p's that spring to mind.... Passionate, persistent, particular and patient. His persistency and passion for estate agency is what has got him here today and if you ask the man himself, he will tell you he dreamt of being an estate agent since he was in nappies. As weird as that is for us to picture, we are thankful for his persistency and passion as Richard James honestly wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for the four P's that Alex consistently brings to the table. Although at his tender age of 31, he is already sporting a wonderful head of silver locks and supporting one seriously beautiful family, his mind is still that of an excited child in a toy store, but when we say toys, we aren't talking about Lego, we are talking about Cars.... SPORTS cars, really really expensive ones. Luckily he gets just as excited about cars as he does about houses and the enthusiasm in his ways will honestly get you excited too! When not at home with his family or at work helping to get people moved, you'll find him in Vegas on the back of a moped with a pair of aviator sunglasses, thinking of 10001 ideas to try and the make the house buying and selling process that little bit easier. This forward thinking, silver fox (to be) comes with everything you need to fulfil your house move successfully.     Alex Brown - Sales Valuer
    What did you want to be when you were younger? An astronaut? A super hero? Well since the age of 7 Alex has wanted to be an estate agent. After an agent in a sports car valued his parent's house he wanted to be 'that guy'. He loves Estate Agency and working for Richard James and he is always working late helping clients. He will happily talk about property and the market all day much to his girlfriends disappointment. He has been an estate agent for 21 years and doesn't plan on doing anything else. Apart from spending all his time at the office Alex's number one job is being a dad to a 'mini me' 5 year old son who loves cars just as much as he does and being a supportive partner to his amazing girlfriend. He loves being a Family Man more than anything in the world. Alex is a motivated, hard working, very meticulous and fussy individual, but most importantly he takes pride in his work. However when he does get to relax his favourite place in the world is the French Riveria and he hopes to retire out there one day. In his spare time he likes to walk along the beach, cooking Italian food, cars and spending time in the gym (bit of a gym freak).

    Barrie Brocks - Sales Negotiator
    Barrie's quite new to Richard James although he has been helping people with their property shopping in Swindon for over 30 years. A relic of the 80's, he learned his trade when measuring sticks and black&white photographs were cutting edge. "Way before the Interweb even existed", he reminds us....(and we smile politely)Grandad, as he's known to his younger colleagues, is arguably the most experienced agent in the company and hasn't looked back since we swapped his typewriter for a laptop. A man with a fountain of knowledge and a new lease of life, Barrie hasn't stopped smiling since he joined us. He's like a dog with a bone... dependable, eager to please and very, very well trained.

    Ellis Smith - Sales Negotiator
    Ellis was lucky enough to have started his journey in our very first Richard James office in Wroughton. A cheeky chappy with good local knowledge, he took to the southern villages so well that he was quickly stolen by our West Swindon office to go and work his magic over there. Having grown up and gone to school in the town, Ellis gets homesick at the thought of leaving Swindon. Being a father to some tropical fish and a tortoise would give anyone a serious case of homesickness though, right? Well presented, courteous and always happy to help, Ellis has a contagious smile which will help brighten up any stressful house move and his polite and reassuring ways will help you feel more at ease. As a valuable member of our team, we are glad he gets homesick because it means he's not going anywhere, anytime soon!

    Nikki Campbell - Sales Negotiator
    A familiar face to many of the residents of Lydiard and Wootton Bassett, Nikki's local knowledge never ceases to amaze us. A self confessed Rightmove addict and suspected curtain twitcher Nikki spends her spare time trawling through pictures of every house within a 5 mile radius of her own lovely home in Lydiard. A friend of ours for many years, we eventually convinced Nikki that stalking the neighbours wasn't healthy and that her time could be better spent actually working in the property market. We were delighted when she finally agreed to come and join our our team It's not just the fact that she seems to know about pretty much every house that has come to the market in the last 10 years that makes Nikki so good at what she does. An earlier career as an air stewardess with British airways means she knows a thing or two about customer service and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Some habits are hard to break and are actively encouraged. "Coffee, Tea, and Biscuits" are still offered to her clients on a regular basis and she will always check your seat belt is on if she's driving you to a property. Sometimes we think she still has her head in the clouds but she denies it. If however, she starts pointing out emergency exits on we'd appreciate a discreet call to our HR department where this matter can be dealt with sympathetically. A firm favourite with clients, and always eager help Nikki loves working in Bassett and seeing friends old and new. If you're passing stop by and say hello. You can be assured of a warm reception.

    What Emma lacks in height she make up for in personality! She is the life and soul of the office/party and is always happy & smiling. After almost 20 years' experience, Emma still absolutely loves her job and is passionate about matching people with the right properties. We guess she's in the right place then! Emma loves being part of the West Swindon community and regularly helps with events at Brook Field Primary School where her daughter attends. She has also started doing Ultra Challenges (walking though, running isn't her thing!) which helps to maintain that healthy balance along with the odd glass (bottle) of Prosecco!

After consideration of all possible property agents we decided to contact Grant at Richard James to sell our home despite his Highworth office not normally covering the Purton area we believed that success would come due to their multiple marketing channels and professional photography, the decision was the correct one as they delivered and sold our house, they exceeded expectations around our three requirements. Five offices were all given a brief and able to sell our house, the local team all visited to see property for themselves so they could describe the house to possible viewers. Richard James covered all the major search engines as well has having their own impressive website with feeds from social media such as Facebook and Twitter. The main thing that stood out was the professional photographs that were taken which increased volume of viewings the moment they went live across all the marketing channels. It is clear when you either talk to Grant over the phone or meet in person that he is a cut above the normal estate agent as he is professional, trustworthy and engaging with prospective viewers by being proactive rather than sitting at a desk playing solitaire on a PC like some I have witnessed! Grant and the entire RJ team always kept us updated with viewings and feedback all of which was posted on their office database so anyone you spoke to could give you the latest status. Sometimes the feedback was negative however a professional suggestion was always offered. We wanted a family home with some land and within a certain geographical area which was in catchment of our children's school. Two days later we were viewing a house that no one else new was actually available thanks to the relationship they had with the vendor.
