Burnham is a charming old Buckinghamshire village close to the River Thames that offers the best of all worlds: a friendly community atmosphere, great schools, fine pubs and independent shops all within an easy commute of London.
The village has already-impressive transport links. Burnham station is on the main London Paddington to Reading line; the M4 and M40 are close by and Heathrow is only eight miles away. However, the new Elizabeth line will cut journey times into London. From late 2019 you'll reach Bond Street in 35 minutes, Liverpool Street in 42 minutes and Canary Wharf in 49 minutes.
There's plenty to explore in the area, including a local nature reserve at Haymill Valley, plus the 540 acres of ancient woodland at Burnham Beeches. The National Trust's Cliveden estate is only three miles away, and there are three golf courses around the village.
