Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £169,749. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £137,207, while detached properties fetched £302,443.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £188,139, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£190,250), but was more expensive than North East (£161,800) and cheaper than East Midlands (£206,869). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£232,071) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£164,837).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and 8% up on 2015 when the average house price was £173,885.
