Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £170,459. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £138,095, while detached properties fetched £303,712.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £188,978, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£190,756), but was more expensive than North East (£162,902) and cheaper than East Midlands (£207,954). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£233,171) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£165,259).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and 9% up on 2015 when the average house price was £173,886.
