Most of the sales in Dalston over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £178,091. Detached properties had an average sold price of £313,000 and terraced properties averaged at £246,700.
Dalston, with an overall average price of £239,167, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bolton Low Houses (£245,000), but was more expensive than Carlisle (£139,098) and Wigton (£168,699).
In the past year house prices in Dalston were 5% up on the year before and 8% down on 2008 when they averaged at £259,595.
