Most of the sales in Dalston over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £175,292. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £226,850 and detached properties averaged at £360,250.
Dalston, with an overall average price of £229,948 was more expensive than nearby Carlisle (£139,533) and Wigton (£171,393), but was cheaper than Bolton Low Houses (£256,500).
In the past year house prices in Dalston were 6% up on the year before and 11% down on 2008 when they averaged at £259,595.
