The layout of the propety is quite practical with the day area on the right as we come through the front door. This consists of a dining and lounge area with an open kitchen. There is a guest bathroom off the lounge area. If we go left from the front door we come to the night area of the apartment with the master bedroom and its lovely en suite bathroom. The refurbishment has been carried out very effectively.

The building was built in 1897 and is in Eixample Izquierdo touching Aragon. The building occupies part of the corner of the block, where the building sides angle towards the edge. This feature is known as a chamfer.

The chamfers are one of the characteristic elements of the orginal plan that was drawn up for the building of the Eixample district by the engineer Ildefons Cerdà. Cerdà designed the corners in order to separate the crossroads from the road traffic - bear in mind that traffic in those times also consisted of animal traffic! This chamfered edge was more practical in that day and indeed in this day.

Another interesting aspect of the chamfer is that whichever way the buildings are there is always one edge facing south and one facing north. The streets are 20 meters wide except for Aragon which is 30 meters. This is because the railway originally passed along Aragon. this has now been placed underground.
