Manilva is a charming Andalusian village, sitting close to the sea and surrounded by vineyards. On the westernmost tip of the Costa del Sol, it borders on Cádiz. Manilva's coastal strip spans 8km, divided into fine-sand and crystal-clear-water beaches, awarded the EU Blue Flag, are ideal for a splash or a stroll along the seafront promenade.
Manilva has a history of Moorish and Roman settlements. These influences are apparent in archaeological sites such as the Roman Baths of Manilva, located on the Rio of Manilva. The baths, high in Sulphur content, were used for rehabilitation by Roman legionnaires. If golf is your pleasure then there are numerous excellent and famous golf courses in the area Valderrama, Finca Cortisen, Marbella Golf, and our own Duquesa Golf & Spa being only a two minute walk from the port.
Puerto de la Duquesa is ideally situated in-between the two airports of Malaga and Gibraltar being only 60 minutes and 25 minutes away respectively, making Puerto de la Duquesa an ideal location for all. If it is a night of glitz and glamour you are after we are also only a 20 minute drive to the famous Puerto Banus and Marbella.
San Luis de Sabinillas
San Luis de Sabinillas is situated a short walk west of Puerto de la Duquesa, and is a typical Spanish working fishing town containing all the amenities needed for day to day living.
With the recent upgrade of medical facilities and the new leisure center currently being built, Sabinillas is fast becoming the leisure and commercial hotspot of the Manilva area.
