In the other direction, it is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Latchi Beach, with mostly sand and small stones with recently built stone reefs to calm the tides making it a haven for swimming and sunbathing. There is a very good taverna, childrens play area, with grassed shaded area, showers, toilets and many other facilities. A further 5 minute stroll along the beach side footpath takes you to Latchi Marina, where there is a wide choice of tavernas serving locally caught fish and traditional Cypriot dishes.
There are also excellent boat trips with BBQs on the traditional Koulla or Nafsikka boats, or hire a day boat by the hour, plus many watersports.

A further 20 minutes drive takes you to Aphrodites Bath and the Akamas Peninsula National Park. If you enjoy walking in the quiet unspoiled
countryside, then this is the place to go, with many seclude beaches to cool you down whilst walking.
