The church and plaza is central to the town and becomes the focus of activities for the popular Summer fiestas. The town of Balsicas is a 10 minute drive away and has a train station which connects to Murcia and from there to the rest of Spain. Sucina is right next to motorway access which means so many places are within easy reach. The towns of San Javier and Los Alcazares are a 15 minute drive and the picturesque beaches of the Mar Menor, 20 minutes. The cities of Cartagena and Murcia are 25 minutes. Alicante airport is 55 minutes and the New Corvera Airport which will open in 2019, 25 minutes.

The popular La Zenia Boulevard Commercial Centre is 20 minutes away and as well as fashion outlets has stores for electrical goods, furnishings, DIY etc. The newly extended Dos Mares shopping mall is in San Javier with a large Carrefour supermarket and lots of family friendly restaurants.

Hacienda Riquelme and Peraleja Golf courses are just a 5 minute drive with many other top class courses in the area, including La Torre Golf Resort, New Sierra Golf, Terrazas de la Torre and El Valle.

Sucina sits in lovely open countryside so provides ample opportunity to those who enjoy walking and cycling, there is even a cycle path which goes all the way to the coast as well as numerous countryside tracks.The lake at Torremendo is around a 20 minute drive through the countryside and provides good carp zander and black bass fishing. There are plenty of activities in and around Sucina organized by the local community and many facebook groups providing useful information.
