Roldan is a medium sized town and has all the amenities and services needed including a medical centre, chemists, banks, supermarkets, shops etc. There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets as well as several take away options.

The town of Balsicas is less than a 10 minute drive from Roldan and has a train station which connects to Cartagena and Murcia and onwards to the rest of Spain. Because Roldan is close to motorway access it means so many places are reached easily and quickly. The lovely coastal towns and beaches of the Mar Menor are 15 minutes away. Cartagena is 20 minutes and Murcia City 30 minutes. The town of San Javier is 15 minutes and has a range of large supermarkets as well as an Iceland and the newly extended Dos Mares Shopping Mall with lots of fashion outlets, a Carrefour Hypermarket and family friendly restaurants. Just before Cartagena is a large commercial centre Espacio Mediterraneo which is open every day. Alicante airport is a 55 minute drive and the new Corvera airport will be 20 minutes.

Just down the road is La Torre Golf Resort which has on site bars and restaurants, a very good Spa supermarket open every day and a 5 star Hotel with pool and Spa facilities . There are numerous other top class golf courses in the area.
