While the current owners are busy planning a new challenge awaits this bed and breakfast (officially registered and in possession of the necessary permits) for its new owners. The bed and breakfast is located on a small hectare of land, on walking and cycling distance of the village of Velez Rubio.It has good accessibility to its guests, while it also has the silence of the countryside. From the bed and breakfast are fantastic views overlooking the surrounding mountains, the (enlightened) Velez Blanco castle, the (enlightened) Church of Velez Rubio and the ruins of castle Xiquena.

The interior of the bed and breakfast

The current owners have renovated the old farmhouse into 3 independent spacious bedrooms, each one with an ensuite bathroom, and one self-contained apartment. Original features were kept during the renovation, while also added the comfort of today's requirements.

In the front of the property. You enter the hall, here on the ground floor is Room 1, a double bedroom with fully renovated en-suite bathroom. This room can be extended with an extra bedroom which is opposite, appropiate for families with children.

From the hall a staircase leads up to Room 2, a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This room can also be extended with an extra bedroom which is opposite to it on the same floor, suitable for families with children.

At the rear of the property, in what it was the old hayloft, on the upper floor, we find the Room 3, a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom. A special feature added to this room is a see-through window so that there is a view from the bed to the beautiful castle of Velez-Blanco, lit at night.

Also at the rear of the property, on the ground floor, in what it originally was the goat stable, is the self-cattering apartment comprising a lounge- living room with adjoining kitchen, a double bedroom and a spacious bathroom. The apartment also has its own private terrace of approximately 20m2.
On one side of the house is the access to the large communal room for guests. Here we fing a bar, lunchroom with a large dining table, lounge sofa, TV, and library.

Owners accomodation

In front of the building is the entrance to the private residence of the owners. Here you find the kitchen, a living room, double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, laundry room and extra bathroom (currently used as storage). In addition, the property features a storage area in which there is a traditional bread oven.
Also, in front of the building state is a detached garage an a wood storage.

Outdoor spaces

Approximately 1800m2 of the 8500m2 that come with the property are dedicated to outdoor entertainment areas for guests.
Around the pool (8mx4m) is a lovely walled terrace with sunbeds and lounge sofa with stunning views over the countryside and mountains.
At the rear of the property are several sitting and dining areas (2 long tables for 16+ people, one of which can be covered) interspersed with lawn areas and gardens. Next to the dining areas there is also an outdoor covered bar (12m2) to drink and relax. The outdoor area is completed with a play area with billiards and table tennis.

The country

The current owners planted an olive grove in 2009, approximately 240 olive trees of the "Arbequina" kind. In addition, there are about 40 almond trees, 7 fig trees, 1 pomegranate tree, 2 apple trees, 1 cherry and 2 medlar trees.
There are also several vineyards, good for table grapes, but also suitable for making wine on a small scale. Currently there are also a henhouse and a herb and vegetable garden. The available water from the wells is enough to maintain the garden and the rest of the land.

The bed and breakfast as a company

Since the business was set up in 2008 the bed and breakfast has had a growing number of guests every year. The majority of the guests are from the Netherlands and Belgium, but by expanding its marketing activities there is also an increasing number of Spaniards, Germans, French and British. The B & B focuses on the top of the middle segment. The bed and breakfast has been around for years with a positive operating result.
