The necessary measures include amongst others: repair and restoration of walls, ceilings and windows, new electrical and water installations, replacement of some ceiling beams, new bathrooms and kitchen, renovation of floors and doors, facade repairs on walls, shutters and iron bars, and much more. The roof is in order, the front was newly slated in 1999, when the rafters and roof beams were also checked and considered in good condition. Since nearly the whole property is in it's original state, lovers of old buildings have the rare opportunity to give it a new lease of life due to their own ideas and requirements.

The age of the outbuilding is unknown, it is not as old as the house and currently used for keeping horses. It is also possible to have trade or craft workshops here, there is lorry access from both sides. Another possibility would be to convert it into apartments, e.g. for holiday lets. Behind the outbuilding there is a fully-serviced building plot, which is currently used for grazing.

The property is located in a nice Hunsrueck village near the small historic market town Herrstein. Here the world is still in order, there is a very low crime rate and children can grow up carefree.
