Uzumlu village attracts tourists from across Europe, including Scandinavia, Germany, Holland and the UK, all attracted by its rich historic past and idyllic setting, a tranquil setting for a holiday retreat while being within short commuting distance to the famous Oludeniz and Calis beaches, and the busy cosmopolitan harbour town.
Although Uzumlu is a small village the centre is always a hive of activities, where the locals gather in the tea gardens for a chat and a game of backgammon after a day at work, and especially busy on Fridays, as the village holds its weekly market where everyone goes to pick up their weekly supply of fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses and olives, many produced locally in the green fields of Uzumlu.
