A short walk from the marina is a 17th century fortress in the small and quaint village of Castillo de la Duquesa - once a big Roman fishing village. Here you will also find a range of very good restaurants.

If you want to play golf, there are a wide range of golf courses nearby, such as Finca Cortesin, ranked as the top 5 of golf courses in Spain according to Golf World Magazine. There are of course great opportunities to practice a variety of water sports such as kite surfing, surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking. For the hiking enthusiasts there are great opportunities, especially in the mountains you will find many routes with nice nature experiences and panoramic views. If you rent a car, do not miss visiting the amazing old mountain town of Casares (20 minutes from Sabinillas).
