The beautiful and characteristic house, located in a medieval hamlet, was built in the 12th Century in the shape of a Roman Tower and was used as a watchtower for military purposes. It was later converted into the summer residence of a Bishop and includes small chapel in the basement . The house sits elegantly above the hamlet's stone buildings and has recently been lovingly restored to a modern internal finish, while retaining many of the original features. It contains seven bedrooms and five bathrooms and a further two guest toilets, over three floors.

The reception room leads to a large terrace (27 square metres) with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding valley, village and mountains and is equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers. Plumbing is in place for a Jacuzzi to be installed if so desired.

Mains water and electricity are connected and LPG gas for domestic use and to fuel the radiator central heating system throughout the house is stored in an underground tank in the garden. with separate taps and metres for each of the three floors. There is good internet connectivity.

The property has private secure parking area for clients and a large private, secure and garden (approx. 100 square metres) suitable for sunbathing and BBQ. A swimming pool project was approved for construction on the property and this can be developed, if desired, by the new owners.

The village is a friendly quiet spot surrounded by signed nature trails and is on the San Francis Way, the trail which connects the sanctuary of La Verna to Assisi. The house location is excellent starting point for walks to discover the natural beauty of this valley, collecting mushrooms and berries and enjoying the natural surroundings. The village has a six (6) day a week bus service to the local walled, medieval town of Sansepolcro which runs at 10.15 to town and 12.25 back up. There are two restaurants in the village a three minute stroll from the house and are open at the weekends or by reservation.

The local town of Sansepolcro with its many restaurants, street markets, supermarkets, health food stores, museums etc. is 8 km downhill. The town is well-known for its restaurants and the amazing local cuisine. The Civic Museum Which shows one of the greatest paintings in the world, the Resurrection by Piero Della Francesca (the most important painter of the Renaissance). For those who love plants and herbs, the Aboca Museum is a must for a fascinating journey through the history of medicinal herbs.

Day trips can be made to many historic towns like Arezzo, Cortona, Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Florence, Città di Castello and Urbino. Rimini, main centre of the nightlife on the Adriatic Sea is only one hour away, as is the Republic of San Marino, which is definitely worth a visit. For those who wish to avoid the larger cities, there are several small villages, true medieval pleasures, such as Anghiari, Monterchi, Citerna and Caprese Michaelangelo, within a short drive from the house.
