For sale, this plot of land, with a few buildings, consisting of an area of 4224m2, inherited about 16 years ago from my father-in-law. At the time we had plans to keep the property and are paying on a regular basis for a member of the family to look after if for us but 16 years on, we are seeing it degrading and a change in plans has prompted us to sell.

The property is situated in a rural village called Fernando Po, at about 35 minutes from Lisbon Airport, surrounded by vineyards, as this is the main business for the region. It has good accessibility even though it is isolated, feelling very private and tranquil, with magnificent views.

It's close to a motorway interchange that goes in all directions. Setubal is about 20 minutes away, a large seaside town with some excellent beaches and the Arrabida mountain, which is a nature reserve in the bay of the Rio Sado. For fresh fish and seafood, at very good prices, Setubal is the place. If you fancy the Atlantic coast beaches, all you need is to catch the ferry from Setubal to Troia and in a blink of an eye, you're there with or without your car!

There's a live connection to the national power grid of 220/ 380 volts and a bore hole was drilled with a depth of 70 metres that has a submersible pump fitted to the bottom and plenty of good quality drinking water comes out of it. The property sits next to the vineyards of one of the biggest wine producer in Portugal "Casa Ermelinda Freitas" which has won worldwide gold medals and on the south side, the vineyards of "Casa Assis Lobo".

The buildings are in a bad state of conservation on the inside because of being locked and unused for so many years.

I think this property could appeal to someone who seeks privacy and tranquillity, that likes the contact with the country side. It has the option of restoring the buildings or a total redevelopment with plenty of space for a nice house, swimming pool, tennis court and room left to have an orchard and vines or whatever your plans may be.
