The village of St Caradec Tregomel is between the better known towns of Guemene sur Scorff and Le Faouet both with large supermarkets, shops and many restaurants and bars and situated within 40 minutes from the many beautiful sandy beaches along the coastline. This is a part of Brittany with fantastic scenery, fishing, golfing, and walking areas. The village has a school, bar, restaurant and good social life with the English population and Bretons mixing happily. It is a 5 min drive to all amenities such as banks, mini market, butcher etc. and is very much in character with the larger villages in the area. It is a popular tourist place with the British, Irish and French but retains the rural rather than the commercialised feel of many places further south. Morbihan is the only department in Brittany with a purely southern coastline and therefore has a warmer climate than the rest of Brittany.
