We enter into a large room with wonderful views, suitable as a living room, or a games and tv room. To the back of this large room there is a division which could serve as a bedroom. Next to this room, there is the utility room with the installation of the gas powered hot water boiler and the pressure balloon which feeds the house from the property´s own water source. To the side of the large room there is a narrow room which could be converted into a kitchenette.

The property is located in a very tranquil setting with only two neighbors in sight in the distance. The access to the house is tarmacked.

Next to the house there is a garage for one car, which could also be used as a shed to store fire wood.

The plot of land included in this sale is set on terraces, the bottom one of which borders a stream. There are a good number of mature olive trees. The plot of land lends itself perfectly to grow your own veggies and keep chickens and maybe a goat or two.

The property is located in a private location on the outskirts of an historic hamlet between Cernache do Bonjardim and Sertã, both towns are around a 10-15 minute drive. The house is within walking distance of a café.

Cernache do Bonjardim has a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops, mini-markets, schools, health center, doctors, sports center and post office, and the direct bus to and from Lisbon stops here a couple of times a day.

The property is 11 km from the center of the town of Sertã. Sertã is an attractive historic town built on either side of a stunning river setting. It has many restaurants and bars as well as 3 major supermarkets, banks, schools, library, theater, cultural center, municipal swimming pool and river beach. There are also 2 weekly markets, held every Friday, one selling fruit, vegetables and livestock and the other selling clothes, tools, plants, shoes etc.

Central Portugal is famous for its beautiful river beaches of which there are a dozen located within 30 minutes' drive from this property, including the renowned water sports center at Trízio, where the European wake board championship is held.

There are good access roads to the property and the IC8 dual carriageway, which leads to the coastal towns of Figueira da Foz, is a short 5 minute drive away.

Both the university city of Coimbra and the historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, are only a 45 minutes´ drive from the property.

There are a good number of river beaches in the vicinity, and the shores of the Cabril lake are 12 km from the property.

The property is situated at approximately equal distance from Lisbon and Porto airport, both of which are around two hours' drive away. Both airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
