The town is 30 minutes from the Baltic Sea, with its beautiful white sand beaches, white cliffs and pine forests.

The area enjoys a mild continental climate and it is much sought after for country and beach holidays.

The city of Rostock, Rostock airport and the island of Rügen can be reached in 30 to 40 minutes.
