The villa is located in La Alquería, which is a private, prestigious urbanisation of just 83 villas located less than 2 kms. from the village of Mijas itself. Fuengirola is less then 6 kms. or about 8 minutes by car. So whilst the villa enjoys a very private and tranquil location it is within easy reach of amenities. Mijas has lots of restaurants, bars, shops and its famous donkey and horse taxis. The Mijas area is kept immaculately clean by a veritable army of council workers. Close by is the World-famous Restaurante Valparaiso which features live music and dancing every night in a great atmosphere of an Italian palace garden and at very reasonable prices. They will email you advance notice of special guests such as fantastic opera singers, flamenco dancers and the 'Rat Pack' (absolutely brilliant tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.). The man who plays Sammy is quite amazing and his rendition of Mr. Bojangles is perfect.
Mijas taxi services are easy to deal with and your cab will arrive promptly.

COSTS - Town Hall tax about ¿1500 p.a. Rubbish tax less than ¿150 p.a. and community fee about ¿500 p.a. This last item is for the maintenance of the infrastructure of La Alquería which is a well-run and well-financed urbanisation with a regular budget surplus of around ¿160,000.

THE VILLA - Enjoys a quiet cul-de-sac location of large private villas. The main living area of the villa is all on one level including terraces, gardens and pool and has south-facing orientation so has spectacular sea views and also to the mountains of Mijas. It is detached, fully air conditioned, with private pool and this has a heat pump to maintain perfect water temperature. The pool also has installed points to take a safety fence in case of small children. The fence folds and is stored in the large garage. There are terraces situated to enjoy morning, afternoon and evening sun.

The main entrance is via double doors into the spacious, marble-floored hallway. There is marble flooring throughout and you can see from the pictures that it is shiny and well maintained. There is pre-installed pipework for underfloor heating. To the left you enter, via two sliding glass doors, the splendid and very large, bright and airy living room. When you are sitting in this room the views across the Mediterranean are superb especially at night and frequently you can see the Atlas mountains in north Africa. From the living room you can walk directly on to the covered terrace where you can enjoy a relaxed lunch or maybe just a glass of wine. The living room also has a beautiful fireplace with log-burning cassette. There is also fibre optic internet and router situated discretely on the shelving by the fireplace. The IPTV system connects to this and the current system has all of the Sky channels - superb for sport lovers.

From the living room you enter the dining area (the present owner uses this as a coffee lounge). This also has a sliding door to garden and a breakfast terrace. Through double, glass sliding doors you enter the well equipped kitchen complete with American fridge. The view from the kitchen windows is across Mijas village and beyond to the mountains.
