It is indeed the love for nature and the attitude of the owners toward running this piece of greenery with simplicity and naturalness, which characterizes this property.
The house which has been refurbished in a Scandinavian style, on the ground floor, has a small portico which can be closed by glass sliding doors. The living room is spacious with a soapstone heater and looks onto the fully equipped habitable kitchen, separated by a glass wall.
On the same floor the master bedroom faces a terrace and the bathroom.
On the upper floor a loft conversion opens onto a balcony, and a bathroom.
In the garden a delightful guest-house with its own bathroom, kitchenette and its own private garden space.
A spacious tool deposit, a cellar and a large terrace complete the property. A water cistern stores water which comes from the mountains and guarantees maintenance of the garden during the hottest season, offering the possibility of adding a swimming pool.
The house represents an oasis of calm and tranquillity, not far from the worldly life of the Ligurian or French coasts, the motorway or Nice airport.
Bellissimi is a small village, part of the municipality of Dolcedo.
This hamlet lies in the hills of Imperia at roughly 270 m meters above sea level and around ten kilometres from the sea itself.
Immersed in green olive gloves, where rural and religious traditions are still alive and active and where it is still possible to taste the atmosphere of the olden days.
In this gentle hilly region there are many olive trees grown on terraces which produce a particularly fruity and delicate extra virgin olive oil.
An old tradition still alive to this day is that of paper hot air balloons, so much so that the village has earned the nickname of "U paise di balui" (The village of balloons), these balloons are mainly launched on the first Sunday of September, during the festival of the Lady of Mercy, to whom the church, built in 1909, was dedicated, on the orders of the parish priest at the time, don Giuseppe Bellissima.
Delightful sights are also the murals around the village.
Furthermore, Bellissimi is "A Place of the Heart", indeed, in 2014 the hamlet was given this title by FAI (Italian National Trust) having been voted among the places in Italy which must not be forgotten.
