Nearby are the beautiful bays "S'Arenal Grand" and "S'Arenal Petit".

There are a large variety of restaurants, bars and cafes on the harbour promenade and boats delivering freshly caught fish.

Although it is quieter in Portocolom in the winter months, as in most tourist resorts, there is a good deal available all year round, as many shops are open all year round, such as. two large supermarkets, a post office, banks, a school and a police station.
