The property is located in a small and peaceful hamlet in the beautiful ‘Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin National Park’. 


The local village, Remilly sur Lozon is a 15min walk (along country lanes) or a 4min drive. The village has two grocery shops, butchers, bakers, pharmacy, post office and library. 


The larger town of St Lo is a 15min drive away. Here there are a good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and a weekly market. 


The peaceful sandy beaches of the west coast and the local historical towns of Carentan, Coutances and Bayeux are all within easy reach. 


Being on the Cherboug Peninsula, you’re never far away from the beach or a great seafood restaurant serving locally caught fish.  Wide, sandy beaches, dapper little ports and seaside resorts and empty roads through peaceful countryside.  There are also plenty of medieval abbeys and cathedrals and of course the D-Day landing beaches. The ferry ports at Cherbourg and Caen are 40mins and 1hr away, respectively.
