Germany is a very Beautiful country, but It's rare to stumble upon both a property AND location that combined are simply out of this world.

Driving into the village you can't help but make a few favourable comments on this wonderful setting. Nestled in a green mixed wood and meadow valley, yet only 20 Mins into the city of Zwickau, this is THE ideal location for the investor.

Chateau de Wildenfels (See ) is a 2 Min drive or 6 Minute walk (No exaggerations here, this is from Google Maps directions!). Now the house, garden with bonus cottage and location are equally impressive, but the Chateau is just supreme.

Wildenfels Castle stands on a mountain plateaux above the town. From a distance, you can see the white facade shining above the green treetops. With its impressive silhouette, it characterises the surrounding landscape. The "Blue Room", with its unique silk-screened wallpaper, shines again after its restoration. With fine silk and elaborate embroidery, you can admire a unique example of the design of late 18th-century design. Let yourself be enchanted by the bouquets of flowers that adorn the halls, the rich decor and the oriental style of artwork in the castle.

A visit to the neo-classical hall with the wedding room and the library is well worthwhile. The ceiling paintings by Christian Leberecht Vogel are especially worth seeing. As a court painter, he shaped Wildenfels Castle through numerous portraits of the Count's family, wall paintings and other exhibits created. With his brother Frederick Magnus I, he shared, apart from his pronounced artistic interest, the liberal spirit which is still reflected in the design of the palace rooms. Visitors will appreciate the enthusiasm by the castle's staff who explain the castle's past and present in as much detail as you wish. Through concerts, literary events and castle festivals the castle and locality prospers. Visitors come by car (Ample dedicated parking at the castle and in the village square) and tourist coach, utilising this property as a holiday rental is a no-brainer.

The castle complex consists of:
1) The east wing with visitor welcome centre and museum facilities
2) The south wing with moat
3) The west wing with winter garden, painting school and city library
4) The north wing with the castle gallery
5) The North wing barn is currently being renovated and will hopefully be available to go inside to see in 2018
6) The former grain house
7) The former horse stables

On the day of our visit, the castle was hosting a hybrid Lexus launch. Press and industry professionals had filled the already busy village hotels and guest houses (Pensions) and I am told by the manager of the castle that this is quite normal given the castles status within the area. Renovations are ongoing and only a few elements are yet to be completed, this multi Million Euro project has taken this castle from a wreck to an outstanding masterpiece that compliments its setting in more ways than one. Check out the photos, no doubt the new property owner will go visit the castle and you should expect to be there for the best part of a day exploring the gardens, exhibits and halls. See our photos on this listing. Unlike many castles over Europe, this castle is not owned by a family or corporation, its owned by the charity foundation "Schloss Wildenfels" so it's open to all.

The village has a few shops, post office, pub and of course the local football team (And lively bar #2) is a mere 1-minute walk from your property.

Location wise it doesn't get much better than this. The large attractive town of Zwickau is a 20 Mins drive at a normal driving pace. Located in the Free State of Saxony, the town was founded in 1200. Travel to here is easy. Leipzig-Halle Airport is an Hour away, Dresden Airport is an hour and a quarter away. Fly directly from London to Leipzig with Ryanair for £16.99 one-way. Fly to other places too from Leipzig like Greece, Spain and Turkey. Dresden Airport is even more generous with its flight destinations, with Newcastle, Southampton, Belfast and others on its non-stop flight routes.

OK so the photos of the property speak for themselves, so no need to go into what it has and what it doesn't, but to keep it simple there are at least 5 bedrooms here, a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and separate WC.

This would make the ideal holiday home (Or decorate to flip), rentals are high in the area and even long term rentals of 3 bedroom properties bring in 550EUR per Month, It's recommended for this to be a weekly rental, the accommodation can be marketed and dates sold on booking, TripAdvisor etc, you'll earn a lot more this way.

The garden as mentioned is stocked with all sorts of plants, some native some imported.

If you like privacy, you'll love this property. This isn't a big built up area, there are no neighbours to the rear or front and the neighbour on the Left is a professional family, they work in the city and were very welcoming last week when the property was being photographed. The neighbours keep themselves to themselves, unlike the UK you won't find a sprawling scheme in this village!

A lick of paint over the interior, a few new carpets and you'll have a property either to keep for your family, flip for a nice profit (Check prices locally, you won't find a property under 70K here) or perhaps rent out long term. After a thorough tour of the village, it became evident that this is going to be the only property for sale here, it's clearly very popular both for holidaymakers and people that wish to stay in such a stunning location.

The property is NOT a monumental building (Listed) and is freehold, naturally.
