Welcome to Nossen Guest House, just 22 Miles to our favourite German city, Dresden! Dresden is one of the most visited in Germany with 4.3 million overnight stays per year. The royal buildings are among the most impressive buildings in Europe. You will find everything for the cultural thrill seeker here, this is a city of music, art, architecture, and shopping! In our view, Dresden is the best city to live near to in the whole of Europe, its just half an hour!

As you can see from the photos, this place is big, very big. A former guest house (And known as that, the sign was only recently removed from the front), this building was purpose built to accommodate tourists and travellers. There are two doors at the front, and two to the rear of the property. One door at the rear accesses the dance hall, more about that later. To the front, one of the doors leads to the grand main hall, the other has direct access to the old workshop, many of the original tools are still there.

Room dimensions are fantastic here, there are so many rooms that you do tend to lose count. One room has exposed beams, the previous owner cleaned them and added insulation, all that is needed in the room is plasterboard between the beams and it will look very authentic afterward. The main lounge area is "L" shaped, and sports a huge solid fuel boiler in apparently great condition. The kitchen comes off of this room. To the other side are bedrooms, workshop etc. This is a 3 floor property, the second floor has all the main guest bedrooms, up again and you get to...the ballroom!

The ballroom has a huge curved ceiling. The floor is almost immaculate parquet, the raised stage has perfect accoustics and is serviced not only by an external door, but also its own access door to both the Left and Right, the Left is a corridor, the Right is more of a cupboard that comes out to the front Right of the stage. Because of the external door this room could be put to use as a commercial function room, restaurant or just a quirky part of the hotel.

There doesnt appear to be any roof leaks, the place looks solid, the location is perfect, what with easy access to the motorway and the bus stop right next door. If you dont fancy driving, you can catch one of the brand new buses straight to Dresden.

Nossen is a fabulous town in the free state of Saxony, just under 50 Miles from Leipzig. This isnt just any old town, this is a town with a great big castle right in the middle.

Renovated to the max, you can visit the castle, touring the great rooms and checking out all the artifacts and splendid architecture.

Schloss Nossen (Nossen Castle) is full of surprises, not only will you wish to visit it, but you'll be urging guests to go take a tour too. Thanks to the renovations you can now go see the dungeons, complete with original torture chambers etc, hundreds of years old, brilliant to see! The castle was partially converted to apartments in 1910 to help upkeep it and make it self sufficient. Schloss Nossen dates back to 1185 so the archatecture is varied, having been changed over the years. The castle was turned into a museum in 1954, having previously been used as a tax office, before that it was a regional education centre for "Feeble minded girls" (Not joking!).

Famous people who stayed in the castle over the years included Napoleon (1813), Christian Eckholdt from Lips Tullian's band of robbers and Countess von Cosel (German noblewoman and mistress of Augustus the Strong, King of Poland.

OK so you wont want to tour the castle every day, the town also has a couple of pubs, supermarket and pretty much everything you need in a small town. There are 4 hotels in the town, all pretty much booked out all the time. Another hotel would go down a treat, yours is perfect to be that hotel.

Surrounding countryside is very scenic. Rolling fields, forests, rivers etc, this really is the perfect location to invest in, with the view of either bringing in a healthy return, a great life, or both.
