The golf club house is situated in the original Hacienda building known as the Cas n which also houses the on site restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, a well stocked supermarket and the Palomar bar.

With good motorway links, Hacienda Riquelme is just a 15 minute drive from the town of San Javier which has a lovely café lined square, several large supermarkets, an Iceland store and the newly extended Dos Mares Shopping Mall. The popular and extensive La Zenia Boulevard is 25 minutes up the motorway and has lots to offer for shopping, dining and entertainment. Just before Cartagena is the Espacio Mediterraneo Commercial Centre which is open every day of the year.

The beautiful city of Murcia and the port of Cartagena are less than a 30 minute drive or another option is to take the train from Balsicas to either city. From Murcia, trains then connect to the rest of Spain.

The coastal towns and sandy beaches of the inland sea of the Mar Menor are 20 minutes away, as are the famous mud baths of San Pedro del Pinatar and the picturesque Natural Park and Salt Lakes of San Pedro, an important wetland and stopping point for migratory birds and home to flocks of flamingos. On the far side of the Salt Lakes is the Mediterranean Sea and the San Pedro Marina providing mooring for sailing boats, a harbour for fishing boats and a lovely area with cafes, bars and restaurants.

Alicante airport is a 55 minute drive and the new Corvera airport, 25 minutes.
