Monte Estoril is a small town situated in the highest and most luxurious area of the parishes of Cascais and Estoril. Situated in a privileged place on the Cascais Line, it has become very famous for its beaches, stately houses and small mansions, and for being a national and international upper class election place.

Monte Estoril originated at the beginning of the 20th century, developing from the construction of the railways connecting the city of Lisbon to the village of Cascais.
