These include coffee mornings and afternoon teas, armchair keep fit, poetry readings, weekly cinema showings, carol singing and so on. We do know from conversations with resident owner clients that the social side of living at Sapphire Lodge is one of the great attractions, but no one is obliged to take part and not all do.

This property arranged off the west hall is also nearly neighboured by the Guest Suite that can be booked in advance at a nominal fee to accommodate relatives or visitors should guest space ever be needed.

The design and finish of the building is clearly very good and features such as Satellite TV points, ample telephone points naturally with broadband provisions (subject to normal subscription arrangements with your chosen provider), high level power points and illuminated light switch Patrice's for added convenience. In addition, the soundproofing at Sapphire Lodge is exceptional and the specification also includes excellent thermal insulation too.

Resident owners safety is always a high priority at a Churchill development and there is a 24 hour care link facility with pull cords and a remote control while, a further safety feature is the inclusion of central heating with a centralised boiler system, rather than per apartment boilers and individual thermostatic controls and timing controls in each property. All heating costs are covered in the comprehensive management charge irrespective of usage.

Also included in the price, rather than as a hugely expensive extra, is parking with resident's spaces on the north and south side of the building together with charging points for mobility scooters and bicycle storage.

The gardens and grounds are all communal and the patios, pathways arbour shaded walks and lawns are all laid out to ensure ease of access for all resident owners. The south facing gardens are all kept by the building management company and adjoin an expansive area of green space. This sweep of parkland is looked after by the parks and gardens department of the local authority and forms an attractive buffer from the road to the south.

Overall, we think this may be the pre-eminent property of its kind in the town and we do urge you to view at the earliest opportunity.
