We have lived in Station Road for 30 years, having owned next door initially and this has been our home ever since. It has been a wonderful place to live through and through. It'll be sad to see it go as we have a lot of happy memories here, our children have grown up here, but we're not moving far and will be staying in Loughton, our hometown.
The house is an Edwardian period property which we have fully refurbished throughout, gutting it completely then adding an extension which gave us so much extra room. In essence it's a new property behind a period façade.
Our house is perfect for entertaining as there are bright open plan areas to welcome guests and it also has separate areas for quieter moments which allows us a good balance when we need it.
We spend most of our time in the lounge, which is very peaceful and comfortable, especially in the winter when the log burner is on, it makes it a very cosy place to relax.
A good proportion of the people have lived here for decades so we're lucky to live in a street full of familiar faces. They've been incredibly supportive and have become firm friends to us over the years.
