The house is in one of the hamlets making up the village of Filecchio. Filecchio is a lively village within the municipality of Barga. It is characterised by a plateau of flat land about 250 m above the valley floor. It is still largely agricultural and enjoys views across to the Apuan Alps over which the sun sets.
The house has been restored and the sitting room is now a through room from front to back with the kitchen on show. This makes the house light and airy. This room has a fireplace. There is some nice new floors and recessed spot lights in the kitchen and a door for access to the back patio and garden. The ground floor has a cloakroom.
The main bathroom is on a mezzanine floor on the way up to the large landing which then leads to the three bedrooms, two of which lead out on the balconies. The balcony off the main bedroom is large enough to have a 2 sunloungers.
This is a full-time home with full central heating operated from a new oil-fired boiler and a pot-belied stove for the shoulder seasons.
The back garden has a large outhouse which is to be restored however, it does contain the boiler.
This house presents the perfect opportunity to be in the countryside without being too high up.
Both pieces of land, back garden and front garden are flat.
