Three Bed Timber Venture Lodge

A fabulous, modern Timber Venture holiday lodge with three bedrooms, master en suite, parking, a terrace, a hot tub and fabulous panoramic views over the Devon countryside, with a full twelve-month season, on the exclusive Moorland Views site in the village of East Ogwell.

A block paved driveway provides parking for two cars and a long ramp leads up to the terrace and the entrance. Inside, it is beautifully presented with fresh, light and neutral decor throughout complimented by solid-oak internal doors giving a modern feel and is warm and welcoming with electric central heating and double glazing.

Moorland Views is an exclusive site with capacity for only fifteen holiday lodges, in an elevated and semi-rural position, on the outskirts of the sought-after Devon village of Ogwell. It is also near the popular market town of Newton Abbot, which has all of the usual shops, supermarkets, parks, eateries and amenities, along with a racecourse, excellent road links and a mainline railway station with direct services to London Paddington. Moorland Views is also ideally situated for access to the Dartmoor National Park and the Southwest Coastline.

Park fees are 4,400 per annum but they will be discounted for the first 3 years by 50% if a buyer completes the purchase by September.

There will be a 125 year term (the life span before the lodge needs to be removed or upgraded)

Living Area

The front door opens into a spacious and modern open-plan living space which has beautiful solid-oak flooring and an inset hessian doormat and is filled with light from dual-aspect windows, from where there are superb panoramic views over the Devon countryside from Haytor to Haldon Belvedere.

The living area has plush carpet underfoot and an integrated corner TV unit with French doors leading out onto the terrace.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen/dining area has a modern fitted kitchen with plenty of oak-effect worktop space, grey splashbacks, and a contrasting range of high-gloss white fitted base, drawer and wall units, providing ample cupboard space. There is a stainless-steel one and a half-bowl sink, a built-in eye-level fan-oven, a separate ceramic hob with a stainless-steel splashback and extractor hood above, and an integrated fridge/freezer and washer/drier.

Sliding doors open to reveal a cupboard providing storage for coats and shoes also housing the electric boiler for the hot water and central heating.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

A hallway leads through to the master bedroom, a spacious double, filled with light from a wide window from where there are fabulous countryside views. It has a fitted wardrobe with sliding oak doors and an en suite shower room containing a double shower enclosure, a pedestal basin with a mirror above, a chrome heated towel rail and a WC and there is natural light from a Velux skylight. There are two further light and airy bedrooms, both twins and one with fabulous views. A family bathroom is identical in style to the en suite, containing a bath with a shower and glass screen above, a pedestal basin, a WC, a chrome heated towel rail and a large wall mirror.

Exterior

Outside, there is a wonderful, raised terrace of timber decking with a wood and glass balustrade taking full advantage of the panoramic countryside views. There is also a hot tub, making a wonderful venue for entertaining guests, be it alfresco dining, sharing drinks with loved ones or simply relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of your favourite fizz.
