The Estate accommodation consists of the main Finca House adjoining Tower House and 3 guest casitas, perfect for older family members wanting their own independence and when visitors are staying.

ONLY 15-30 MINUTES TO THE BEACH
A charming and historic family home with guest facilities that offers lots of opportunities and one that also comes with equestrian facilities.

The Finca part of the country estate first appeared in the records in 1828 although the land around it was first farmed by the moors over a thousand years ago.

In the 1950´s a Spanish family bought the property with the intent to raise young fighting bulls but shortly after it was bought by a Spanish land developer where it was left unoccupied until the mid 1990´s were it was bought by new owners who restored it to its present form installing a swimming pool, barbecue area, tennis court, entrance courtyard, the impressive Lion gates at the start of the long drive and converted the Riu Raus into Casitas. The new owners were artists and they used the Tower part of the Finca as studio for the glass sculptures and oil paintings they created. In 1999 the finca was then bought by the present owners who completed the conversion started by the artists.

Today the finca´s crops are almonds, olives, oranges and lemons plus grapefruit, figs, apples, pears, medlar fruits (nisperos), quince, pomegranates, persimmons, grenace, grapes and more are grown and enjoyed. The new buyer can also benefit from having oil from their own olives as there are still some local presses in the area. There is also a small cassita at the end of vine field which is used as winery to produce the finca´s wine and to store the extra virgin olive oil your own olives produce.

This is a unique opportunity to own your very own Spanish oasis, a warm and inviting place to escape from all the hustle and bustle perfect to relax, breath some fresh mountain air, unwind, sunbathe on the terraces or have an afternoon Siesta in the shade.

For those wanting to be more active you have your very own tennis court, an area to play table tennis and basketball, you can swim in the huge pool, wander around the terraces of the finca or explore it´s riverbed wilderness area with its ancient well and water storage “balsa” which dates back to Roman times, walk the crests of the mountains overlooking the finca or follow the ancient mosarabic trail or head off on a mountain bike and explore the many lanes and trails of valley and the mountains.

Cook a paella, watch beautiful sunsets, BBQ, entertain, host the most amazing parties and dine under the clear sky and stars in the various alfresco areas, you are more than spoilt for choice.

An array of beaches can be reached within a 15-30 minute drive, for golf lovers you have first class golf courses in nearby Denia, Javea, Calpe, Oliva to a name a few and the cities of both Alicante and Valencia are only a 1hr drive away should you wish to explore further afield.

People are craving bigger homes and prize open spaces and gardens more than ever before and this is a dream property for those looking for permanent living or a second home/holiday home in an area of sun, good wine, good food set in a privileged picture postcode rural landscape framed by the dramatic shapes and ever-changing colours of the Spanish countryside.

Surrounded by mountains and lying between the historic and picturesque pueblos of Alcalali and Parcent. Parcent is where the Spanish modernist writer Gabriel Miró (1879-1930) once resided and called it a "paradise between the mountains" and that is exactly where this wonderful and charming country estate is.

The estate land covers over 50,000 square metres, almost 15 acres to explore and wander in with accommodation consisting of the main Finca House adjoining Tower House and 3 guest casitas,

The Finca first appeared in the records in 1828 although the land around it was first farmed by the moors over a thousand years ago. Three of the casitas at the finca were originally built as Riu Raus, traditional stone arched buildings to protect the local moscatel grapes as they were being dried to produce dried raisins. Once the grapes were dried, they were cut and packaged in wooden boxes wrapped with silk and hand-decorated paper, ready to start a long journey from the port of Dénia to England, where raisins would be tasted as a delicatessen accompanying the tea.

The main Finca house consists of 3 double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and 3 full bathrooms, including the Master bedroom with ensuite and dressing room, a large fully equipped kitchen with a range style oven, a huge living room of about 100m2 with dining area and fireplace and access to two covered terraces with open views, a welcoming entrance hallway and utility room. The finca offers modern living requirements yet is sympathetically decorated with impeccable taste and care, in-keeping with the style and history of the property including the handcrafted flagged stone walls, wooden beams, wrought iron features, restored thick walls from the 18th century, in fact many of the details of the house date back centuries such as the antique grinding/sharpening stone outside the front door and the well inside the kitchen which serves as a decorative feature although the water is drinking water quality. In all rooms in the main house there is air conditioning and security grills on the windows.

The three-storey Tower house which was once used as an Artists studio is now used for guest accommodation. On the main floor there are three double bedrooms and two full bathrooms, on the first floor a single room, on the second floor another single room from which you can access the roof of the tower. Adjacent to the Tower House you will find 3 small casita self-contained villas overlooking the courtyard with an ancient cart that is over 200-year-old. The casitas offer open plan living and kitchen areas two with one bedroom and a larger one with two double bedrooms and all with a bathroom. The is another small finca on the land across the river which is an open-plan house currently used as a cellar and storage room to prepare wine from the grapes and to store the olive oil. The current owners had intended to restore this little finca to use as extra accommodation as the property has its own small walled courtyard at the back with a Carob tree for shade, in one of the rooms there is a “niche” that was used to house a small statue of a virgin or saint and in addition to the electricity line and telephone lines both running over the little fincas land it has its own well and rural access lane.

The outdoor areas are sublime offering an abundance of space that includes a sun drenched 15m x 8m pool, a covered summer kitchen with BBQ, built-in seating, and dining area, outside pool shower and 300m2 of terracing for sunbathing, relaxing, entertaining and to host the most amazing parties. In fact this beautiful area has been used for Weddings and large parties since the nearest neighbour is over 200 metres away so no one to complain about the noise. There is a full-size tennis court, basketball area, table tennis area and a shaded area in the garden perfect for reading and relaxing and to escape from the heat of the sun. In addition to the courtyard there is car port, carparking area, several large storage rooms, two closed garages used a gym and linen/laundry room plus there is a stable.

The land on the estate offers almonds, olives, oranges and lemons plus grapefruit, figs, apples, pears, medlar fruits (nisperos), quince, pomegranates, persimmons, grenace, grapes and more are grown and enjoyed. As in addition to being able to make your own wine the new buyer can also benefit from having oil from their own olives as there are still some local presses in the area. The vine terrace below the pool/BBQ terrace has Garanacha grapes as the best Rosado/Rose wines in Spain are made from these grapes and the owners harvest their own to make the Finca´s own rose wine. The almonds are cultivated by a local farmer which he does for free with the arrangement he collects and sells and keeps the profit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a country estate as a family home away from it all where the land is never far from the sea and one that could potentially offer a business or investment opportunity subject to obtaining the necessary licences to develop as a wedding/party venue, equestrian facilities offering horse riding, a country retreat offering Pilates/yoga or for holiday rentals due to the all year round activities available such as cycling, climbing, guide walks, hiking etc.,
