Property description

Tenure: Freehold

Agent Online is delighted to bring to market this highly distinctive Georgian period family home. An immaculate 5 Bedroom, 3 Reception room house, "Southdown" forms part of the historic Longwood House, situated in the sought after village of Failand, North Somerset.
This is an impressive semi-rural house which has been extensively modernised by the present owners, is just minutes from Clifton Village and has excellent access to Bristol city centre and the M5 motorway. A rare opportunity to own such a beautiful property which really must be viewed to be fully appreciated.

Vendor Comment
"This has been a wonderful family home for us for 25 years and we have absolutely loved living here. We have so many happy memories over the years of walks in the woods, cycling adventures in Ashton Court, lunch in the village pub ........

What initially attracted us to this area was the feeling of being in the countryside but only five minutes away from Clifton (less than £10 in an Uber!) and having the benefit of so much off-street parking. Schools / school playing fields like BGS, The Downs and QEH are right on the doorstep, A fantastic position with everything you could wish for, Failand woods, Wraxall woods, Leigh Woods, Bristol & Clifton Golf club, Long Ashton Golf club, Firebrands hockey and cricket clubs, OB's rugby club, all within walking distance.....a great place with plenty to do for our boys growing up!. David Lloyd leisure centre and Long Ashton Park and ride all within 2 minutes’ drive. M5 is 7 minutes away and Cribb causeway about 12 mins.

If you are going on holiday, we are so close to the airport, it is cheaper to get a taxi there and back than pay for onsite parking!

Failand also has a wonderful new cafe/shop "Honey & Ginger" selling all local produce....the donuts on a Friday are not to be missed!
We will really miss Southdown, it truly is a very special place to live.
