This mature detached family home is situated in one of the most sought-after areas of Shrivenham, with a larger than average garden backing on to open fields, and uninterrupted views to the Ridgeway. The property was built by local family firm, Knapps Builders, and the previous owners lived there for more than 30 years. The property is well-maintained but is likely to provide a blank canvas for the next owner to put their own personality into whilst enjoying the spacious gardens and views.
The sitting room is split level, with a fireplace and fitted gas point, and takes maximum advantage of the views over the garden. There is a separate dining room and an extensively fitted kitchen with a gas-fired boiler. Beyond this room is a rear porch with a utility, cloakroom and walk-in pantry.
On the first floor is a lovely large master bedroom with dual aspect. There are two further double bedrooms, a single bedroom with fitted storage and a family bathroom fitted with a white suite. The two rear bedrooms take full advantage of the extensive views.
Outside, the property is approached over a driveway providing off-road parking for at least four vehicles. The front garden has been landscaped for low maintenance and the rear is laid predominantly to lawn with paved patio, mature hedges and a garden shed. Within the rear garden is a single detached garage.

Shrivenham is one of the larger villages within the Vale of the White Horse and without question one of the most desirable in the area. The village is located circa 5 miles to the north east of Swindon and circa 5 miles to the south west of the market town of Faringdon. The village is ideally located for access to the M4 (8 minutes away) and the A420 leading to Oxford and beyond. The village itself has an extremely active community and a bypass built in 1984 ensures that Shrivenham’s rural atmosphere is preserved. There is a lovely tree lined high street with shops, restaurants, public houses, a doctors’ surgery, chemist, garage (for servicing and MoTs) village primary school, nursery and impressive Church, which has parts dating back to the 11th Century. There is a frequent bus service through the village from Swindon to Oxford and back, linking to rail services and airports.
