Sitting on the edge of the Peak District just 2 miles south-east of Matlock, the village is on the Limestone Way footpath and the area is excellent for walkers. A 3.7 mile circular walk takes in Bonsall, Matlock Bath and Cromford. The lower dale along the Via Gellia road has some glorious woodland, a haven for wildlife and flora - look out for Kingfishers near the millpond!
