The Location...
The property is located approximately a mile and half west of Chichester Station on the edge of Fishbourne. The village, famous for its Roman Palace, is ideally suited for easy access to the A27 trunk road and also provides a railway halt, sports recreation ground, primary school and two public houses. A couple of miles to the south west is the highly regarded sailing village of Bosham, associated with the sea since Roman times and now provides a long established and thriving sailing club (Old Bosham has a fascinating history where the church is featured within the Bayeux Tapestry). Bosham also provides a primary school, popular public house overlooking the harbour, restaurant, tea rooms, arts & crafts centre, supermarket, post office and medical centre. The historic Cathedral City of Chichester offers a broad range of shopping, cultural and leisure facilities including the renowned Festival Theatre, galleries, museums and restaurants. Aside from sailing, leisure facilities within the area include golf at Goodwood, bathing from the beaches off West Wittering and the National Trust owned East Head, horse riding, and walking around the harbour and South Downs. Horseracing may also be enjoyed at Goodwood where the annual Festival of Speed, and Revival meetings are also hosted. There are good road connections to London via Petworth, Midhurst and the A3. The mainline station in Chichester provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 40 minutes, and Havant station to the west provides a faster service to London Waterloo in about 1 hour 20 minutes.
