Property description

The hotel provides 19 luxurious en suite bedrooms some of which come complete with hot tubs, four function rooms, a boutique spa, a bar and a lounge. The hotel itself is arranged over ground and first floors under a pitched roof. Externally the main building has a beautiful white wash façade with period features, whilst internally boasting high ceilings, a sweeping spiral staircase and opulent decor. Please note the building is in need of some repairs and maintenance.

The Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa has been closed since April 2020, offering considerable scope and opportunity for a new operator. Historically the business traded as a successful hotel, wedding venue and restaurant which was awarded a coveted three AA Rosette rating. A new owner may choose to reopen the business along the same lines or possibly focus on weddings and events. Alternately the property may suit alterative use subject to planning consent. The hotel was purchased by our client in September 2020 with the intention of reopening the hotel following a refurbishment, however our clients other business interests have meant they have been unable to dedicate the time needed to reopening the Mount Somerset hence it is now offered for sale.
