Location

The delightful coastal town of Woolacombe is approximately 3½ miles away, offering a range of everyday facilities and a wonderful four mile beach, providing excellent walking, swimming and surfing. More extensive shopping facilities can be found at Ilfracombe, which also has a theatre, the Landmark Theatre.

The market town of Barnstaple, about 13 miles away, is a thriving town with a weekly pannier market and a good range of local shopping facilities including two supermarkets.

Directions

From the western side of Barnstaple take the A361 towards Ilfracombe and Braunton. Follow signs to Ilfracombe and at Mullacott Cross turn left onto the B3231, signed to Lee. Take the first right, signed to Lincombe and Lee and at the junction turn left and proceed through Lincombe, signed to Lee. Once in Lee, proceed past the church and follow the road to the sea wall and alongside the sea wall which then bears right climbing up the hill where the entrance to Lee Manor can be found on the left hand side. Note – Please follow the directions above rather than using SatNav.

Water sports – Traditional seaside activities such as rock pooling and paddling at Lee Beach, and surfing at Woolacombe, Puttsborough, Croyde and Saunton, which are some of the best surfing beaches in the UK.

Golf – At nearby Saunton there are two 18 hole golf courses.

Walking – The National Trust South West Coastal Footpath follows along the north coast and provides superb walking.
