Currently the water main is private and serves a number of local properties and also runs under the barns, the vendor has a legal agreement signed from all stakeholders to divert this water main around the barns and an approved contractor has been instructed to carry out these works. In addition the vendor has been in contact with Affinity Water to have an adopted main laid in land owned by themselves from the nearest adopted main to be connected to the new diverted main. A quotation is currently awaited for these works but note that a previous quote was for a sum of £100,000.
