Bekesbourne is a lovely rural village to the east of Canterbury set amongst the fruit orchards so common in this part of Kent. The village has a public house together with a branch railway station on the Canterbury to Ramsgate line. For local shopping the nearby village of Littlebourne has a post office/general stores.

The Cathedral City of Canterbury (3 miles) has a wide range of shopping recreational, cultural and educational facilities including two universities and a wide range of schools in both the state and private sector. The high speed rail link offers services from Canterbury West to London St Pancras (57 minutes). The ports of Dover and Folkestone are within 15 miles and the Channel Tunnel is 30 minutes away.
