The nearest town is Bridport, an attractive Georgian town with an excellent number of independent shops and restaurants, a thriving street market on Saturdays and Wednesdays along with an excellent vintage quarter. Bridport also has a number of large supermarkets including a Waitrose and a Morrisons, a community hospital, a large medical centre, a leisure centre, and the Bridport arts centre.
